Get to know the library

Introduce your students to the SRJC Libraries. You can embed a playlist of four orientation videos into your class materials. Contact us if you'd like these videos in your Moodle class.

New Resource


Kanopy is a streaming service that provides the platform to a host of educational video productions such as HBO, VideoFashion, Media Education Foundation, etc. The collection has over 20,000 video titles, covering a wide range of subjects, including sociology, business, hospitality, theatre , dance, literature, history and fashion. The videos can be integrated with online courses, and accessed remotely. The majority of the videos are closed captioned and clip-making is allowed.  Start searching now!

Students who stay connected with campus activities have stronger retention and better chances of academic success. Encourage your students to follow us so they stay up to date about special library hours, workshops, new titles, and other library news. The SRJC Libraries manage vibrant social media connections through facebook and twitter, RSS news feeds, and a series of library awareness videos on YouTube.

The Doyle and Mahoney library programs

  • answer over 5,000 questions a semester to students who reach the library in person, by phone, chat and email
  • teach course integrated instruction to over 2,000 students a semester
  • often serve over 6,000 students in the course of a single day
  • have the most active web presence at SRJC, serving up over 2 million web pageviews a year
